Dr. Mangla was born and raised in Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for his undergraduate studies. He attended medical school at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York . He completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and was named chief resident in his senior year. Dr. Mangla then completed an intensive 2-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Wolfe Eye Clinic in Des Moines, Iowa. He performed over 1100 cases during his training, well over twice the national average.
Dr. Mangla is board certified in Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He is published and has presented research at many national meetings.
Dr. Mangla specializes in medical and surgical management of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments. He is committed to providing expert and compassionate care to his patients.
